Blog 13: 10 Hour Mentorship Check-In

1.   Where are you doing your mentorship?

- My mentorship location is never the same exact place except for maybe a few times or so. This is because my mentor may be at the tackle shop discussing what to do and use, or we may actually be on the water fishing getting hands on experience. Although, most of the time, we usually fish at new locations wether it's a lake, stream, or the ocean.

2.   Who is your contact?  What makes this person an expert?

- My contact is Delbert Nunez and he is licensed fisherman as well as a part of the California Department of Fish and Game, and also has 40+ years in this field.

3.   How many  hours have you done during the school year? (Summer Mentorship Hours and Mentorship Hours should be reflected separately in your Senior Project Hours log located on the right hand side of your blog).

- I have done 34 hours in the summer and 41 hours during the school year.

4.   Succinctly summarize what you did, how well you and your mentor worked together, and how you plan to complete the remaining hours.

- My mentor and I went over techniques, baits, and what to use in order to catch more fish and how to keep them alive. After that, we'd often go fishing in either the ocean, mountains, or local lakes to have fun and practice.

- As for my remaining hours, my mentor and I have set dates to go fishing and talk about fishing which will easily overlap the minimum required.
